Fun with Google! A Great Time-waster!

12 05 2009

A friend recently sent me an email with all these codes in it. Thinking that his email MUST be infected with a virus, I didn’t even try the codes, as he indicated. Well, I’ve tried them out – there’s no virus, just lots of fun with Google! Try them out for yourself!

Go to http://www.Google.com/images and type something (anything) into the box, and wait for the images to come up.

Then, go to the address bar, and one at a time, copy/paste the following codes in it.

Watch what happens! ( Whomever came up with this really needs to get a life!)

1. javascript:R= 0; x1=.1; y1=.05; x2=.25; y2=.24; x3=1.6; y3=.24; x4=300; y4=200; x5=300; y5=200; DI= document.images ; DIL=DI.length; function A(){for(i=0; i<DIL; i++){DIS=DI[ i ].style; DIS.position=’absolute’; DIS.left=Math. sin(R*x1+ i*x2+x3)* x4+x5; DIS.top=Math. cos(R*y1+ i*y2+y3)* y4+y5}R++ }setInterval(‘A()’,5); void(0)

2. javascript:R=0; x1=.1; y1=.05; x2=.25; y2=.24; x3=1.6; y3=.24; x4=300; y4=200; x5=300; y5=200; DI=document.getElementsByTagName(“img”); DIL=DI.length; function A(){for(i=0; i-DIL; i++){DIS=DI[ i ].style; DIS.position=’absolute’; DIS.left=(Math.tan(R*x1+i*x2+x3)*x4+x5)+”px”; DIS.top=(Math.tan(R*y1+i*y2+y3)*y4+y5)+”px”}R++}setInterval(‘A()’,5); void(0);

Tampa Bay Auto Show

8 11 2008

Okay, so as a part of a photo project I’m working on, I headed over to the Auto Show at the Tampa convention center. I must say, with a few exceptions, I’m pretty disappointed with the cars on display.

What had been touted as a great display of beautifully restored cars turned out to have about 6 of them in total. And they weren’t even a part of the main displays… Pretty disappointing, I must say. A lot of the cars look alike and aren’t all that difference in price, colors, looks, and performance. Hmmm. Sounds like a lot of computers these days…. Except for the few that truly set themselves apart.

I’m not a new Ford fan. If it’s a Ford made after about 1970, I’m not usually going to like it. I actually like the new concept car that was on display, the Ford Airstream, despite the fact that it looks like something out of a Nintendo or Atari game. What I don’t understand, is how is it NOT a copyright infringement?

This one’s for you Richard – it’s time to trade in your Titan for the Airstream. That way you can have a Ford Airstream pulling your Airstream Safari! 🙂 Sorry – had to get that one in. But the front looks a lot like the Airstreams, so you can imagine the comments.

The Lamborghini cars were pretty awesome this year too. They’ve updated a classic design and re-designed another. Needless to say, these cars speak for themselves.

Another beautifully restored car was the Czech Tatra. There’s a lot of history behind these cars, but I’m going to save that for another day. So for now, enjoy the pictures!

One of the concept cars that I really looked forward to seeing was the new Chevy Camaro (2010). Beautiful car, decent specs, and overall, it reminds me of my favorite animal, the Great White shark. C’mon, you can’t tell me this doesn’t look like the shark….

And of course, my favorite for last. Can anyone tell me what this is?

First Annual Worldwide Photowalk

23 08 2008

Well, today was the first annual photowalk, as organized by Scott Kelby. Loads of fun, that’s all I can say. I personally got a lot of great pictures that you can view by going HERE.  More than 8,000 people participated worldwide.  I was one of the lucky ones that actually got to go on the photowalk hosted by Scott Kelby himself, in downtown Dunedin, Florida.

So if you like to take pictures, get some friends together and just pick a spot and take off!  That’s how easy it is to do a photowalk.  It doesn’t require fancy cameras with major looking-into-the-next-country zoom lenses and megapixels that not even Einstein could pronounce.  All you need is the desire to have some fun, a little bit of adventure and a few friends to go with you.  Or, if you’re a hermit, go by yourself!  🙂
